Eduardo Martin Velasquez, a 22 year old rookie of the Boca Raton Police Department, was found dead in his apartment after allegations he raped a 21 year old woman. His roommate found the body of Velasquez Sunday around 5:30 PM. Cause of death is unknown pending the results of an autopsy and toxicology report.
According to police, Velasquez was off-duty when he broke up a fight between two women in the courtyard of his apartment building at 6015 Town Colony Trail early Thursday.
One of the women returned with Velasquez to his apartment. Officials said she called police around 4 a.m. that day to report that Velasquez had raped her.
Velasquez denied the allegations, claiming the sex was consensual, and was placed on administrative leave.

The what is it? A homicide? I'm sure there would be A LOT more controversy about it since he "was" a cop.
